Job Purpose

Wavteq is looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic team member to identify new prospects and accounts and cultivate existing accounts within our Products division. The individual will have proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets as well as ability to work on own initiative to pro-actively research, develop and manage the sales pipeline. The successful candidate will have responsibility for selling Wavteq elearning, Amplify and Influencers systems to government organizations as well as Wavteq IncentivesFlow to private sector clients against set targets.

 

Main Duties and Responsibilities: 

This full-time position involves the following tasks and responsibilities:  

  • Generate a target list of US prospects and qualify opportunities through research for the product portfolio aligned to the strategic sales plan
  • Proactively outreach to prospects using a range of channels to build an opportunity pipeline
  • Make sales calls to prospects and set up product demos in line with agreed sales activities targets
  • Attend industry events and develop a schedule of face to face meetings with prospects at the events.
  • Organise and attend face to face meetings for conversion as required.
  • Work with marketing on the development of product specific campaigns to assist with pipeline development and sales targets
  • Respond to inbound sales enquiries by phone and / or electronically
  • Record all sales activities in the company CRM 
  • Report sales activities and pipeline follow up to management on a regular basis
  • Meet US sales targets as set by Sales Director for the product portfolio
  • Work with the Customer Success team as appropriate to ensure new clients are on boarded and receive all required training.

Education and Experience

  • Hold a degree with an international business / economic related element
  • Knowledge of the economic development industry and / or experience with site selection and incentives for business expansions and relocation.
  • At least 3 years sales experience and proven ability to meet and exceed sales targets
  • Knowledge of sales principles and practice
  • Knowledge of customer service principles
  • An understanding of economic development and the
