WAVTEQ Japan success case study Back to successes
WAVTEQ Japan's team, representing the North East of England secured a major manufacturing plant.
The plant was opened in April 2016 and is for the production, supply and maintenance work of high-speed trains. 35 trains a month will be produced.
Total capital investment is £82 million and 730 jobs have been created. The production facility is 127,500 sq. m.
The trains will enter commercial operation during 2017 and 2018.
The WAVTEQ Japan team, led by Masao Kumori, worked with the Hitachi and the local government to secure the investment.
